Valkyries
Northeastern University
I am a member of the Valkyries Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Team at Northeastern University. The team practices twice weekly in addition to multiple weekly workouts. We regularly compete in tournaments, scrimmages, and round robins against universities throughout the New England area, as well as travel to other states for competition. This year, I serve as Co–Social Chair for both the A and B teams.

Fitness
Staying active has always been an important part of my life, and Ultimate Frisbee has become my main outlet for fitness. Whether it’s training at practice, lifting in the gym, or competing in tournaments, I enjoy the physical challenge and the sense of accomplishment that comes with pushing myself. Being part of a sport that requires endurance, agility, and strategy keeps me motivated and reinforces my love for movement.
Finding Community
Beyond Engineering
Through Ultimate Frisbee, I’ve found a close-knit community at Northeastern that extends beyond my academic world. Playing with the Valkyries has connected me with teammates from different majors and backgrounds, creating friendships that go beyond the field. The team’s supportive and welcoming environment has given me a space to grow both as an athlete and as a person, reminding me of the value of balancing my technical pursuits with a strong social and athletic community.
